Wheel screen says wait: 3 PLTR puts need one more check

Three PLTR puts cleared the option mechanics, but the required stock confirmation was incomplete. No premium, cash reserve or entry ticket is published.

The setup in 30 seconds

The morning wheel screen narrowed Eddie’s 24-name live watchlist to one eligible ticker, PLTR, after the latest-ten and same-day checks. Ten October 16 puts reached the first filter on open interest and quoted width. Three of those lines also cleared the house delta band (0.15–0.30), the 30–45 day window, the dual-feed liquidity checks, and the option-layer cushion and annualized-return hurdles. That shortlist is still not a finished cash-secured-put ticket. The required two-source stock-price confirmation was incomplete, so zero setups cleared the whole evidence path. The delayed snapshot was taken around September 4, 2026, 9:52 a.m. ET. The morning live-entry window ends 10:30 a.m. ET. Once that window closes, every quote must be rebuilt in a broker.

New to cash-secured puts?

Selling one put can require buying 100 shares at the strike if assignment occurs. “Cash-secured” means setting aside the full strike value in cash. Option liquidity matters, but it cannot replace a confirmed stock reference when calculating the real cost of ownership.

PLTR put observations from the delayed September 4, 2026, 9:52 a.m. ET snapshot. These are screening rows, not entry tickets.

The $165 put led the mechanical shortlist on comparison math: 42 DTE, delta 0.2854, open interest 2,154, volume 32, and paired quoted widths of 4.41% and 5.26%. Both Cboe and Nasdaq showed the same open interest and a tight two-sided market. In plain terms: the contract looked liquid and orderly, but liquidity alone is not a stock confirmation.

Distance changes the shape, not the evidence standard

The $160 put stepped farther from the stock with delta 0.2278, open interest 7,178, volume 122, and matching paired widths of 5.85%. The $155 put was the softest of the three at delta 0.1780, still inside the band, with open interest 2,702, volume 6, and paired widths of 4.80%. In plain terms: lower strikes usually mean less assignment pressure and less premium; neither fact becomes a publishable cushion without the required stock pair.

Palantir Technologies sells software platforms used for data integration and decision support. That one-line business description is enough context for a screen. It is not a valuation call, a product review, or a reason to force a trade when the stock-price evidence path is incomplete.

A clean chain is only the first half

The option observations confirm contract identity, expiry, delta, open interest, volume and quoted width. They do not complete RSI(14), moving averages, relative volume, support, valuation, implied volatility versus its 3-month norm, earnings timing or the macro calendar. With the stock-price pair incomplete, this edition withholds premium, collateral, breakeven, cushion, annualized return and any expected fill.

Why the answer is wait

  • Eddie’s live watchlist had 24 names; after last-ten and same-day exclusions, only PLTR remained eligible for this slot.
  • 10 PLTR puts cleared the first open-interest and width filter; 3 also cleared delta, dual-feed and option-layer return/cushion gates.
  • The live brief still requires a named two-source stock-price pair before any ticket can be published. That pair was incomplete on the morning screen.
  • Publishing a half-built cash-secured-put idea would invent a stock reference the screen did not fully verify.

Administrative delayed marks were visible on both option feeds, and a Yahoo chart mark near $177.09 was recorded for context. Those observations stay in the admin verification object. They are not a substitute for the named pair, and they are not used to mint premium, collateral or breakeven for readers.

What would change the call

  • A complete two-source stock-price pair for PLTR on a later slot, with the same two option sources still agreeing on identity and width.
  • Fresh RSI(14), 20/50/200-day moving averages, volume versus its average, support under the strike, IV versus its 3-month norm, valuation context, earnings timing and the week’s macro calendar — all verified in the same run.
  • If those pieces clear, the ticket can show strike, expiry, DTE, delta, limit, cash reserved, breakeven and return math. Until then, wait remains the honest output.

What would invalidate a later PLTR ticket

A later setup would still fail if open interest fell below 500, if the bid/ask width blew through 8% of mid, if delta left the 0.15–0.30 band, if the dual feeds disagreed on the contract, or if earnings and macro risk were left unchecked. A stock gap through the strike can still reserve the full cash amount even when the chain looked orderly the day before.

What could go wrong if someone forced a ticket anyway

  • Wrong stock reference → wrong cushion and collateral → the position looks safer or richer than the delayed board supports.
  • Skipped RSI, moving averages and volume → the technical posture is unknown even when the put looks liquid.
  • Skipped earnings and macro calendar → a binary event can move PLTR faster than a 30–45 day put can be managed.

None of those risks is a forecast that PLTR will fall. They are the reason this free tip stops at the screen result instead of inventing an entry limit. Screens rank premium quality; they do not certify safety.

Beginner corner

DTE is days to expiry. Delta roughly gauges how much a put’s price moves when the stock moves. Open interest (OI) counts existing open contracts. Quoted width is the bid/ask gap as a percent of midpoint. Cash-secured means the full strike × 100 is reserved in cash. Assignment means buying 100 shares at the strike.
