The iPhone Duo reached stores on October 23. Its announced US$1,999 starting price and a titanium-supplier commitment add detail—not a sales forecast.

Apple’s first foldable iPhone has moved from announcement to retail. The iPhone Duo debuted at Apple Store locations on Friday, October 23, 2026, according to Apple’s launch-day update. Customers can also shop through apple.com and the Apple Store app. [1]

The milestone—and its limit
A retail debut is confirmed. Launch unit sales and revenue are not disclosed in Apple’s October 23 update, so the event alone does not establish how well the phone is selling. [1]

The rollout, in plain numbers

For readers following AAPL, the new information is the move into stores, not another product unveiling. Apple introduced the iPhone Duo on September 9. Its latest retail update describes hands-on demonstrations and shopping support, rather than reporting financial results. [1,2]

A titanium commitment alongside the launch

Apple also gave more detail about the supply chain on October 20. It said it would commit up to US$100 million over three years with Perryman Company, a Pennsylvania-based titanium producer supplying titanium for Apple products, including the iPhone Duo. The words “up to” matter: this is a commitment ceiling, not a statement that the full amount has already been spent. [3]

At its Houston, Pennsylvania, site, Perryman melts, forges and rolls titanium with at least 80% recycled content for the iPhone Duo, Apple says. That percentage describes the titanium—not the recycled content of the entire phone. [3]

The same announcement says Qnity Electronics will produce advanced films for the iPhone 18 Pro’s variable-aperture camera system as Apple expands their partnership. This is a supplier production plan for a separate product, not a claim about the foldable model’s camera. [3]

What the announcements do not settle

The sources establish product availability, announced specifications and supplier plans. They do not establish a launch sales total, a profit contribution or an effect on Apple’s share price. This report does not infer any of those outcomes from launch-day photographs or supplier commitments. [1–3]

The next dated step

Apple’s published plan lists October 30 for the additional 28 countries and regions. As of this October 25 report, that date is still ahead; it is a rollout plan, not a sales forecast. [2]
